Hey! So, waist size can be a better indicator of health compared to just relying on weight or BMI because it reflects the amount of visceral fat you might have. Visceral fat is the stuff that's wrapped around your organs and can increase your risk for diseases like diabetes and heart disease. A scale might show you're in a 'normal' weight range, but if your waist is larger, it might mean you're carrying more of this dangerous fat. It's not always about being lighter; it's about where the fat is.

I've read a bit about this too, and while the scale is easy to check, it doesn't tell the whole story. Waist size is important because it gives insight into the type of fat you're carrying. Visceral fat is more dangerous than subcutaneous fat because it's linked to serious health issues. Watching your waistline can be a more accurate health indicator than weight alone. Still, don't stress too much about numbers; it's all about balance. Pair waist checks with good nutrition and regular exercise, and you'll get a better sense of your overall health.
