I’ve read about Bald’s eyesalve in a couple of articles and it’s pretty fascinating. Researchers recreated the recipe from an old Anglo-Saxon manuscript and found it effective against MRSA in lab tests. However, it’s important to note these tests were in a controlled environment. We can’t just start using medieval remedies at home without more research, but it does show the potential of looking into historical remedies for modern medicine!
